Get answers to common questions about in-home care.

Homecare is when an individual or a loved one needs non-skilled personal care services, companion care, and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) in their home or place of residence.

Amivie is a home care provider that can help you or a loved one receive personal care services, whether they be simply focused on activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, feeding, bathing or grooming, meal prep, or light housekeeping, or more complex services such as medication reminders, transferring, ambulation, utilization of Hoyer lifts or other more sophisticated medical equipment to live in their own home or place of residence.

01

At Amivie, we provide a range of care depending on the client's needs. Care can range from assistance with Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) to more complex care for seniors requiring Hoyer Lifts or Sit Stands for ambulation or Pediatric clients needing feedings or tracheostomy care. Please check with the local Amivie Provider to understand the types of care that they can provide for you, a client, or a loved one.

02

Homecare services can be provided wherever our client's home is located – some homes are apartments, some are Assisted Living Facilities (ALFs), some are Long-Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF), some are their own homes, and some are in hospice houses or places or respite. No matter the setting, all our caregivers are licensed, bonded, and insured and are trained to provide the care and comfort you need in the place where the client lives, even while staying with a friend or family caregiver. Amivie and our Family of Providers deliver all levels of personal care services to help individuals live their best lives in the place they love in their homes.

03

Different types of care require different certifications and training. Depending on your specific needs, the caregivers coming into your home can vary. Personal care and companionship services are most often provided by a Home Health Home Aide (HHA) or certified nursing assistant (CNA). All our caregivers meet state certification requirements and are trained, bonded, and insured. If you have a special request or language spoken that will enable a better interaction, please advise and request that when Making a Referral.
